In this unit, students will be able to:
1) Identify the type and discuss the features/functions of the 5 major white blood cell. Click here for practice with identifying white blood cells.
2) Discuss the use and resulting data from a sphygmomanometer (blood pressure cuff)
3) Draw and discuss the events of data collected by an ECG (EKG), including the P Wave, QRS complex, and T wave
4) Briefly discuss the normal data collected by a basic hematocrit, including what percentages outside the norm may indicate
5) For each type of blood, discuss the antigen and antibody present, what type of blood can be received, and to whom a person may donate.
