quadratic equation

an equation that can be written in the form ax2 + bx + c = 0 where a ¹ 0. When written as y = ax2 + bx + c the expression becomes a quadratic function.

the formula (FIX)  ; it is used to solve a quadratic equation of the form

quadratic function

a function of the form y = ax2 + bx + c where a is not equal to zero

quotient of powers

division of two or more values in exponential form that have the same base—the base stays the same and the exponent in the denominator is subtracted from the exponent in the numerator
