Explanation of sample/demo course features in ELA

Welcome!
Thank you for visiting this sample course. Please keep in mind that it is a scaled back unit in a face to face course and is only intended to serve as an example of how various activities and resources can work in a more comprehensive Moodle course.
This particular course highlights the following modules:
- Book Module – for the overview of the unit (NOTE: this is where you find the “I can…statements” for the unit – just click on the highlighted text)
- URL Resource – links to the entire play online and other resources
- Glossary Module – currently for character descriptions –ELA-09.RL.03 (entered by students), but will be used for other terminology
- Assignment Module
- simple online submissions only for analyzing Quotes and translating Old English –ELA-09.RL.04
- need to add a turnitin assignment - to utilization of the Moodle integration features
- Quiz Module – used for both character practice to learn about each character, but to check for understanding. This gives teachers the opportunity to develop CFA to measure students learning.
- Forum Module – There is one forum, but this needs to be tweaked to fit
