Scatter Plots and Trend Lines

Objective: 

• To write an equations of a trend line and of a line of best fit
• To use a trend line and a line of best fit to make predictions

I CAN create a scatter plot from two quantitative variables.

I CAN describe the form, strength and direction of the relationship.

I CAN use the function to predict values.

I CAN use a calculator or computer to find the correlation coefficient for a linear association and interpret the meaning of the correlation coefficient in the context of the data.
