K-12 Grade Levels

Kindergarten

Kindergarten logoThe Kindergarten ELA BPS-prioritized standards were selected to equip your child for focusing on exciting new skills that will help them become strong readers and writers!

They'll learn to follow along in stories and books from left to right, top to bottom, and even sound out words by understanding the different sounds they hear. They'll also practice working together and following directions to build important communication skills. By the end of the year, your child will be able to tell you about the stories they hear, write simple sentences, and identify the building blocks of language like letters and sounds!
