AVI-07.AP.04: Organization means students develop and use processes procedures, and tools to study effectively while managing their time through prioritizing and goal setting.
Sub-Standards:
(a) Refine usage of organizational tools and systems that support academic success (b) Maintain an activity log or tracking system for community extracurricular activities and hours (c) Utilize an organizational tool to record obligations and constraints on time (d) Demonstrate the process of backward mapping
(e) Identify the steps necessary to accomplish goals (f) Identify reasons for why progress is or isn’t being made toward accomplishing goals (g) Apply visual frameworks to organize language and comprehend key concepts
Students who organize can:
Self-direct, self-evaluate, self-monitor, and self-advocate to reach academic goals
Develop and use tools to organize thinking, resources, and time
Develop and use processes, procedures, and tools to study effectively
Prepare for rigorous courses and engage fully in instruction
