The student is able to explain the relationships or interactions between two or more individuals, events, ideas or concepts in a text at the middle fluent reading stage.

  3.5 In addition to Score 3.0 performance, the student demonstrates in-depth inferences and applications regarding the more complex content with partial success.

The student is able to explain the specific information from the text and explain why the event happened in a text at the beginning fluent reading stage.

  2.5 No major errors or emissions regarding 2.0 content and partial knowledge of the 3.0 content.

The student is able to explain a cause/effect relationship or the steps in a process the author explained in a text.


  1.5 In addition to 1.0 content, student has partial knowledge of the 2.0 and/or 3.0 content.

The student is able to name an event or technical process explained in a text.

  0.5 Limited or no understanding of the skill is demonstrated.
