#### MAT-03.OA.08

 MAT-03 Targeted Standards (OA) Domain: Operations and Algebraic Thinking Cluster: Solve problems involving the four operations, and identify and explain patterns in arithmetic. Multiply and divide within 100. MAT-03.OA.08 Solve two-step word problems using the four operations. Represent these problems using equations with a letter standing for the unknown quantity; assess the reasonableness of answers using mental computation and estimation strategies including rounding. The size of the numbers should be limited to related 3rd grade standards (3.OA.7 and 3.NBT.2).  Adding and subtracting numbers should include numbers within 1000 and multiplying and dividing numbers should single-digit factors and products less than 100.
