Clarification Statement: Emphasis is on conceptual understanding that mitosis passes on genetically identical materials via

-In multicellular organisms, individual cells
grow and then divide via a process called
mitosis allowing the organism to grow. Each
parent cell passing identical genetic material
to both daughter cells. Cellular division and
differentiation produce and maintain a
complex organism.
