  • Determine where a patient would go to receive care for a variety of medical conditions with 90% accuracy and differentiate between private and public health care facilities ( i.e. hospitals, ambulatory care facilities, long- term care, home health, medical/dental offices, rehabilitation centers, hospice, assisted living centers, practitioner's office,  and mental health services)

  • Identify the role of  6/7 government healthcare agencies and services (ie. Center for Disease Control, Food and Drug Administration, World Health Organization, Occupational Safety Health Administration, Department of Health and Human Services, Veterans Administration, National Institutes of Health)

  • Define the role of at least three voluntary and nonprofit health agencies (e.g. March of Dimes, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society)

  • Identify three benefits of participating in  local, state and national professional and student organizations (e.g. Skills USA, HOSA)
