Students Competencies...

  • Inspect, remove, and replace seatbelt and shoulder harness assembly and components.
  • Inspect restraint system mounting areas for damage; repair as needed.
  • Inspect the proper operation of seatbelt system.
  • Disable and enable Supplemental Restraint System (SRS).
  • Inspect, protect, remove and replace Supplemental Restraint Systems (SRS) sensors and wiring; ensure sensor orientation.
  • Verify that Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) is operational.
  • Inspect, remove, replace and dispose of deployed and non-deployed airbag(s) and pretensioners.
  • Use Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) to diagnose and repair the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS).
  • Demonstrate an understanding of advanced restraint systems.
  • Identify components of Supplemental Restraint Systems (SRS).
