Theatre Fine Arts Standards Updated

The high school Theatre Arts Standards Glossary has been updated to the ND Theatre Arts Content Standards JUNE 2018 2nd Draft for Public Release. The State followed the National Fine Arts Standards which BPS had implementing starting in the 17-18 school year with the High School Drama. The major change was the simplification of the standards so that each Anchor Standard had only one sub-standard. Plus beside the dropping of sub-standards represented by X there were some verbiage changes when you compare to the last year sub-standards.

The Fine Arts Anchor Standards had up to 3 sub-standards which were the original standard set in PowerSchool. So BPS decided to simplify the Fine Art Standards for teachers by combining the Sub-Standard with the Anchor Standard. That way you only have to manage 11 standards instead of 24. This way teachers only have to score the Anchor-Standards. Plus the state dropped Anchor Standard 12 and all sub-standards from the National Fine Arts.

So if you click on the Identifiers in the first column of the chart below, the Standards Glossary Term will display in a pop-up. You can see how the two parts were combined with the Anchor Standard listed first and the sub-standard listed below highlighted to clarify the specific single sub-standard.
NOTE: The bold text in the third column is the what should be listed. If you spot any errors or have questions please reply in the forum. That way all the documentation is located in the Theatre Standards Discussions ... forum.
